The Medford Public Library was established in 1855 and has served as a pillar of the Medford community since its founding. The original library moved to the Magoun Mansion at 117 High Street in 1875 and in 1960 a new library was built on the same site. In 2021, construction of the Charlotte & William Bloomberg Medford Public Library was completed. Today, the library receives over 220,000 visits per year and serves patrons from 0-102+ years of age with over 1,400 annual programs.
